This can be a tremendous opportunity for anyone to make money.  A few times we have had customers come from other provinces to buy from us, simply because nobody else offered what they wanted. Slate memorials are becoming more popular as cemeteries are not as stringent. As long as the size of the slate remains within the plot size including the concrete for mounting.

Customers like the natural look and as well the colours and shapes.

Slate does have some limits compared to polished granite. The font should be bold and no smaller than one inch. No wordy verses or poems as they tend to take up space and use smaller fonts. Usual colours for hi-lite is black or white. Specialty colours can be used for an extra cost. Designs are usually simple, roses, wheat, silohuettes and the like. Although we have done others with specialty scenes and different colours (cost is around $200. plus for colours and scenes)

Slate is not just for memorials, it can be used for home and business signs.
