There are many sizes, shapes and colours to select from. Black is usually the first choice, fonts and designs show up the best and are easier to work with. Other colors are reds, greens, blues, grays and browns are to name a few. Sizes depend upon the memorial, whether it is a flat, pillow or upright. Flats can be the smallest but limited for designs when smaller. Uprights can be the largest and most expensive. Prices starting at the bottom with a small marker- about $300-$400 dollar range up to the uprights which can cost $20,000 to $30,000 dollars plus. Accessories can add a lot more to the price and can double the price on some memorials. There are also special shapes and designs which can be ordered. Monuments can be cut carved and polished in shapes of angels, trucks, figures and teddy bears are to name some. Most towns/cities require a permit fee to place a monument in their cemetery. The price can vary from $20 and up. The size of the memorial can be limited to the size of the plot  purchased, single, double etc., where it is located in a certain section, such as military, cremation, flats or uprights. Monuments also come in different polishes, from what we call P1, P2 etc. meaning the monument is polished on one side, both sides, three or all of it being a P5, as shown in these photos.
