BENCH SPECS - Our design and style has been chosen to fit in with the more popular outdoor surroundings. Benches are constructed using natural colored stone and concrete. Benches are 6 feet in length and can be ordered in two colors Black or white. Benches weigh 550 pounds and are easily installed using 6 bolts. Benches come with cement pads for legs to sit on. Pad size 36 inches by 14 inches by 5 inches thick.
PLAQUE SPECS - All plaques are constructed using etched granite. Plaque size is 14 inches by 7 inches. Wording is limited to 20 words. If more wording is required there will be a small additional charge.
BENCH WARRANTY – All benches are warranted for no less than ten years. A bench will be repaired or replaced at the manufacturers cost when damaged is proven to be caused by a material defect. This does not pertain to acts of vandalism or neglect, which will have to be looked after by the community or bench donator.
BENCH PRICING - $ 1,985 (Canadian) $ 1687 (American) delivered anywhere in North America. The contribution covers the cost of the bench, the cost of the granite plaque, all costs insured freight to the location all maintenance needed for the ten year length of the warranty. This price does not include any costs required by local governments.
BENCH INSTALLATION - Benches can be easily set up in a few hours by two people. Set the legs up on level ground and place the bottom bench slate in place and fasten the four nuts to the provided bolts. (Don’t fully tighten nuts). Then take the top slate and place it on the back of the bench legs and tighten the two bolts fully. Then tighten the first four nuts installed. Firmly tighten each bolt but don’t over tighten breaking the concrete. This is usually completed in less than one hour.
BENCH PAD – When required two leg pads have been included. Dig out an area 3 feet wide by 6 feet long to a depth of 1 foot. Back fill the hole with 5 inches of sand and pack by walking over. (sand will backfill to 100 % compaction by simply walking over). Place leg pads 48 inches a part and back fill with sand. If a concrete pad is required a local cement contractor may need to be hired.
BENCH LOCATION – most recreation and park departments will have areas set aside for commemorative benches. Many will allow you to choose where your loved one is to be commemorated.
